Installation Services.

Most successful journeys begin with a solid plan.

History is littered with the stories of failed and flawed software installations.

Installations that took too long (often way too long!). Installations that cost too much. Installations that resulted in software that was hard to use at best.

At Viking, we work hard to make sure that every installation is a success. We plan the project with you and then work the plan. A brief description of some of our installation steps and services is provided below.

Project Management. Like everyone, we prefer not to find unpleasant surprises awaiting for us in the middle of our business projects. We create a project plan with you and then work that plan so we all know where we are and where we're going.

Hardware and software recommendations. Viking's software lives in an Oracle database. When installing our software, there are a variety of hardware and software choices that need to be considered. We help you through each of those decisions.

Data Conversion. Data conversion is a given when installing a new system. We work hard to make sure that it's not painful or slow. We do the hard work for you and then deliver your data fully installed in your new software.

Test Installation. Once the conversion is done and the hardware and software are ready, we'll deliver a test system to you. You can use this to check the conversion and start learning how to use your new software, without worrying about destroying production data.

Onsite Training. We provide onsite training at your location for as many employees as you need. The training is hands-on training using your new software and test data.

System Customization. Every institution is unique. We customize Viking's software as needed to meet your particular institutional requirements.

Custom Report Creation. Even though creating new reports is easy with Viking's reporting tools, we work with you to create an initial set of custom reports that will meet your reporting needs from day one.

Go Live. We're done! We take a clean extract of your data, do a final data conversion and then install a fresh copy of the system with your production data ready to go. Enjoy!
